A HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS....
Nobody can deny this. You may live in a foreign country, away from parents and away from familiar surrounding, but if you have love from a dear husband and caring help from close neighbors, then a house is a HOME.
I believe so.....
So when I heard that my husband's nephew was getting married to a Syrian girl, I have no doubt that it can work just as well.
Last weekend was the great day and all close families and close neighbors were there to celebrate.
This is the 'akad nikah" ceremony, where marriage vows were said and recorded. The ceremony was officiated by an officer from the Religious department because her father was "missing in action" in the on-going war in Syria.
Actually I never asked much of the family background as I have full confidence in the parents decision. Whether she is here as a war refugee or on other immigration status, has little bearing on the occasion. A happy marriage is a happy marriage even if you are in the middle of a desert land, an isolated island or in outer space......by the Grace of Allah Most Merciful, Most compassionate.
A Home is where the Heart is...........
The happy faces of the of the bride and groom.
May Allah, God Almighty, Most Gracious and Most Loving
Bless them and may they live happily
under the Divine Guidance here and hereafter.
