Missing Out.....

I am missing out on many activities of SmarTop pre school since the beginning of the year. This is one of our co curricula program, a tae kwan do class run by an NGO. It is done once a week and this year the number of kids participating has increased....enough to make the class more exciting.

We need to buy more uniforms to encourage more kids and hopefully we could do that by March, insya Allah.  Not all parents can buy one for their child and we have to get sponsors to help out.

But this one boy in the photo  on the right will not let himself miss out on the fun. With or without a uniform, he insisted to join in and will not let himself be a bystander. So the instructor let him be.....

Wow!.....This is a leader in the making....it is the will to succeed that counts !

Our promise to parents is to nurture each child's potential. The ability to read and write is only one aspect but the ability to learn a social skill to suit to his surrounding is just as important.

We in SmarTop believe that a child must be taught "crisis management" in some small ways. Hopefully as he grows up he will be able to learn to adjust to life like a "hero" and a "gentleman"..........

I also missed to be with kids in the pool this year. Our instructor Mr Neo is just as enthusiastic and he is seen here carrying a kid that is considered small size to be left alone like the others. But knowing that water exploration is part of brain gym (developing the brain) Mr Neo will not let this smaller sized kid to just be a by stander. Like I know Mr Neo last year , he will make sure everybody is wet and much more...

Later in the session he will make sure every body will be brave enough to get herself or himself under water.

That is what swimming is all about at this stage...

Some parents asked about the other kids who do not make it to the pool. What do they learn in class.

Good Question.....

We have a creativity program to exercise the RIGHT BRAIN.

The kids are seen here doing coloring of pictures. It does not matter what color they like to use but as long as they do not keep idle, teachers are told to let them be themselves to extend and broaden their imaginations.

We are letting kids to build their character and find an identity early in life. Being different does not mean you are a deviant in a negative sense. A lot of economic activity and other similar global requirement later in life requires a person to be creative and able to think beyond normal things.

Above all, kids learn to "manage crisis" early in life because that is what life is all about. Young or old, rich or poor, black or white is not a prerequisite of achieving a happy and blissful life.

Of course the most important thing of all SmarTop educates a child to learn about our Creator, Allah most High.

"Allah is my Rabb....We love Allah and we love Rasulullah".....and more....

May Allah show us the Way and bless us all.
Aameen....
